Building off the success of our first launch, AETHER and Southern California-based luxury eyewear brand SALT. have teamed up once again for a second collaboration of limited-edition eyewear. This installment introduces three brand-new colorways: Brushed Honey Gold, Black Sand, and Tempest in the coveted Explorer silhouette. Eighteen months in the making, this exclusive sunglass is designed for the male or female drawn to adventure.
Created with the motorcycle rider in mind but sleek enough to be worn in the city, the slightly square frame boasts lightweight, beta-titanium frames with nearly unbreakable temples that are flexible enough to be easily taken on and off while wearing a helmet. Titanium nose pads help keep the glasses in place, providing a comfortable, secure fit that requires little-to-no adjustment while in motion. To maximize visibility, the EXPLORER features windshields and an extended frame-top, reducing wind flow and peripheral sunlight by more than 80 percent. Strategically sized holes in the windshields ensure peripheral vision is not obstructed.
The lenses have both a polarized filter to block glare and a photochromic filter that automatically darkens to suit the light conditions, guaranteeing clearer vision no matter the location. The inner lenses also have a polarized filter and mirror coating that increases glare blockage. SALT. + AETHER eyewear has been constructed specifically to solve the optical issues that matter the most when engaging in fast, in-your-face activities: visibility and comfort.
Color options include Brushed Honey Gold with dark brown side shield and photochromic/polarized G15 lens; Black Sand with black side shield and polarized CR3 double-mirror blue lens; and Tempest with matte-black side shield and photochromic/polarized black lens.
Sharing an appreciation for timeless design, classic style and meticulous production, SALT. and AETHER have created frames that look as good in the outdoors as they do in an urban environment.
