Field tested in the backcountry of British Columbia, the Expedition Motorcycle Pant is designed for long-haul touring.
Made from a combination of 3-layer field nylon and 3-layer stretch nylon, the Expedition Pant is abrasion-resistant, waterproof, breathable, and designed to stretch in all the right places. A slight stretch in the seat and knees offer comfort while seated in the saddle, making those high mile days a little more enjoyable. Unlike the detachable waterproof liners commonly used in motorcycle apparel, the Expedition Pant is fully seam sealed, making it entirely waterproof on its own.
For protective padding, we partnered with D3O®, an industry leader in shock-absorbing body armor. D3O® pads are malleable when handled at slow speeds, but tighten upon high impact to absorb energy. The Expedition Pant features side hip pads and adjustable pocket knee pads.
Designed with the ergonomics of long-distance touring in mind, the Expedition Pant is constructed with articulated knees for ease of movement. Velcro waist adjusters allow the pant to be cinched or expanded, while the bottom of each leg features a simple velcro adjuster and gusset so they can be easily hemmed.
For storage, the Expedition Pant features two zippered front hand pockets and two zippered articulated side pockets. All pockets have mesh liners, so they can double as vents when they are not being used. Designated vents are located on the inside thighs, to circulate air the one place the wind doesn’t touch.
For riding at night, a JRC Reflex® reflective piping has been incorporated into the seams. This innovative material reflects bright white when lit by a pair of headlights, but remains matte black under normal lighting conditions.
Designed in tandem with the Expedition Motorcycle Jacket, a zipper attachment allows the two pieces to be worn together as a full body suit.
