Sometimes Mother Nature demands that your jacket be big, well-built, and fully protective. For those days, those adventures, and those destinations, there is the Scott Parka. We make sure to always have a “pinnacle-of-warmth” piece like the Scott in our line because certain far-off destinations or freezing days in the city call for a seriously burly jacket—one that stands up to everything but doesn’t make you look like the much-maligned Michelin Man. As always, we covered all the bases and beyond with the design of the Scott Parka. It’s insulated with 800-fill-power goose down and made from a mechanical-stretch woven shell with contrast 2-way stretch waterproof Schoeller® fabric at the removable hood, body yoke, and collar. To ensure ultimate protection from the elements, the Scott is wind resistant and seam sealed at the critical contrast-fabric join seams. To make it comfortable to wear, drive in, and everything else, there is a two-way, center-front zipper as well as snaps along the center-front placket. For stashing necessities, there are zippered hand pockets and a super-sly hidden chest pocket underneath the center-front placket, as well as an interior zippered chest pocket. We like to outfit our pieces with as many thoughtful details as possible, so the detachable hood features a quilted interior lining, and even the pocket bags were considered: They’re made with a soft brushed-tricot that feels great on your cold hands. The sleeve openings also feature an inset rib-knit cuff. The Scott Parka will keep you warm against the elements but we didn’t sacrifice the aesthetic in that pursuit.
