Adventure Spotlight: AutoCamp Yosemite

Adventure Spotlight: AutoCamp Yosemite

Known for its giant sequoia trees, dramatic waterfalls, and stunning scenery at every turn, Yosemite is the most visited National Park in California and one of the most popular in the country. AutoCamp, a company known for creating unique lodging experiences via Airstream trailers and luxury canvas tents, opened its latest location in Yosemite last month. Located just 45 minutes outside of the park, AutoCamp Yosemite is the brand's third and largest luxury campground to date, with the other outposts located in Santa Barbara and the Russian River Valley. ↓

AutoCamp Yosemite offers several options in glamping: Cabins can accommodate up to five people, while Airstreams fit three, and luxury tents sleep two. Built specifically for AutoCamp, the Airstreams are 31-feet long and feature a cable TV, spacious sleeping areas, a well-equipped kitchen, and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. The wooden cabins have all the features of the Airstreams, plus the added bonus of more interior space and a front porch. The single-room canvas tents each have a king-sized bed, sofa, dresser, and mini-fridge but require guests to use communal restrooms and showers. AutoCamp also has free Wi-Fi, heating, and air conditioning. ↓

What further sets this new AutoCamp location apart from its other locations is the two-story clubhouse, complete with a swimming pool and an indoor-outdoor lounge area with firepits. There is also a bar with a wide selection of craft beer, kombucha, and coffee, all complimentary. Snacks are available to purchase from the on-site marketplace, but you’ll have to venture off-site for full meals. Guests can rent the second level for special occasions, and the scenic roof deck is perfect for constellation-spotting on clear nights. •
