Military Jacket
The army field jacket was initially developed to provide soldiers with outerwear that would perform in a range of demanding environments. While the field jacket has been co-opted by many in the fashion industry for aesthetic purposes, we wanted our Military Jacket to get back to the performance-driven functionality it was originally designed for.
Unsatisfied with the cotton/nylon blends typically used, we began a search for a fabric that would deliver technical performance but remain comfortable enough for everyday use. We finally found what we were looking for with EtaProof®. This densely woven cotton was originally developed for the immersion suits worn by Hurricane pilots during WWII. The fabric has the natural comfortable feel of cotton, but is completely waterproof and thermally insulating. For the design, we chose to keep things simple and functional. Two cargo pockets at the chest and two convertible handwarmer pockets to give you easy access to storage. Adjustable waist and cuffs allow for mid-trip alterations, while articulated elbows allow for greater ease of movement.
