It may not be as dangerous as getting launched to the moon in a Saturn rocket, but it’s still pretty dangerous. Dean Potter slack lines at Cathedral Peak as the sun sets and moon rises up behind him. And from what we can see, he doesn’t appear to be using a safety line.
This footage was taken over a mile away with a Cannon 800mm by Michael Schaefer. It is part of a larger project for National Geographic called The Man Who Can Fly.
