In what appears to be the floating contemporary housing district of Hamburg Germany, sits the aptly named “House on the Eilbek Canal” which was designed by Sprenger von der Lippe. The two level, 1506 square foot residence strikes a unique balance between its natural surroundings and a modern urban aesthetic.
The second floor, which houses the kitchen and dinning room, is level with the street on the raised embankment above. It has floor to ceiling windows to offer views in any direction as well as an upper observation deck area. The first floor offers a little more privacy and houses the bedrooms and livings quarters.
