One of the greatest joys of owning an old motorcycle is not just riding it but the long endless hours spent tinkering with it. Nothing can quite compare to excitement of taking apart a carburetor, cleaning it, putting it back together again, and realizing you now have extra pieces. Or the thrill of chasing down an electrical issue that somehow has your left and right turn signals crow-wired. These joyous moment weren’t included in the sales pitch when you bought the bike from that guy who swears he kept up with the maintenance schedule, no – they are pure value added.
So in dedication to all those late night tinkers, here are some images of motorcycles stripped down to their individual pieces. Some assembly may be required.
