As you’re covered in snow the airbag stays inflates and pulls you towards the surface through a process known as granular convection.  Like a life vest, the Snowpulse Airbag System is designed to keep you on your back so even if you are knocked unconscious you will remain face up. Once on the surface, the bright red airbag serves as a visual distress signal to help rescuers locate you.
