LEAP (Living Ecological Alpine Pod)

LEAP (Living Ecological Alpine Pod) represents a revolutionary new approach towards fixed unattended bivouac shelters. Designed by Italian-based LEAPfactory, the LEAP shelter takes technological innovations from the nautical and aeronautical industries and re-purposes them in this state-of-the-art extreme weather shelter. Constructed in compartments, the entire structure is designed to be completely modular, with specific sections for bunks, cooking, living area, bathroom, and entrance way. Once the proper compartments are selected the LEAP shelter can be airlifted to any location.  Roof mounted solar panels and biological toilets takes the shelter completely off the grid and lowers its ecological impact. And unlike other semi-permanent structures, the LEAP can be removed completely after it has fulfilled its use in one location and be relocated to another.
